Method & Tooling ยท the Onda Campaign
Not the world โ the tools that make it. How a module is built, and the scaffolds to build one from.
Everything here is ๐ Infrastructure: authoring method and empty scaffolds, never campaign content. Nothing in this section is lore, and none of it is written into the canon digest โ the world stays clean of the machinery that makes it.
The standing spec โ every mandatory slot in a module and why it's there, drawn from a structural read of three published modules by three different authors. Read this before writing anything; the templates are only its skeleton.
specThe standing spec for player characters and the antagonist โ the three tiers of truth (dossier, addendum, thread), the slots for each, which way material moves between them, and why brainstorming is quarantined from the digest. Read this before writing a character page.
specThe standing spec for writing a cold open — the six lines, the boxed-text floor, and what a roll is allowed to do inside a memory that already happened. Read this before writing one; the template is the scaffold.
specThe query that gets an item’s picture out of an image generator — the fixed 16-bit Chrono Trigger opener, the fixed framework, the three sentences that are actually written, and a worked example. Ask by naming the item; one block comes back.
๐The six-line scaffold for one cold open: the opening box, the beats, the rolls table with its failure column, and what it reveals. Clone into pages/sessions/cold-opens/.
The scaffolds every session ships: sheet.html (the one-sheet you run from), scene.html (the prep read), fight.html when the fight has more than a statblock, and recap.html after the night. Sessions are peers — there is no run-sheet above them. Duplicate the folder into pages/sessions/modules/ to start.
A standalone scene page, for scenes that don't belong to a module. Module sessions use module-template/scene.html instead โ that one carries General Features and Developments.
One page per voice โ manner, tell, wants, and the grievance that makes them right from where they stand. Clone into a module folder alongside its scenes.
๐A new entry for the worldbuilding bible. Fill it in, mark it ๐ Canon, add a card to the canon hub โ then never edit it again except at Jack's explicit word.
